The employer is looking for an Associate Process Engineer in San Antonio, TX. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced chemical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Antonio office.
What you’ll do
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Knowledge of process safety practices
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
- Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
Nice to have
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
- Six Sigma certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Antonio, TX is $67,000 – $86,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
