The employer is looking for a Senior Controls Engineer in Oxnard, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced electrical & computer engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Oxnard location.
What you’ll do
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
- Integrate robots, vision systems and safety devices
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
- Commissioning experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Oxnard, CA is $136,000 – $173,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
