As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Run capacity planning and load testing for critical services
- Lead incident response and write blameless post-incident reviews
- Define service level objectives with product teams and track error budgets
- Improve the observability stack: metrics, logs and traces
- Build tooling that removes toil from operations work
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience operating large-scale production systems
- Proficiency in Go, Python or a similar language
- Experience with modern observability tooling
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with chaos engineering
- Experience in a regulated or high-availability environment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $197,000 – $250,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
