Civil Engineer Intern

The employer is a mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering firm specializing in high-performance buildings.
As a Civil Engineer Intern with the employer, you will gain hands-on experience and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Antonio office.
What you’ll do
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Strong technical writing skills
Nice to have
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Antonio, TX is $24 – $28 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
