The employer is a packaging manufacturer running high-speed production lines across several plants.
As a Process Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the chemical engineering team works. This position is based in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Data analysis skills
- Knowledge of process safety practices
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
Nice to have
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $110,000 – $140,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
