Associate Software Engineer

The employer is looking for an Associate Software Engineer in Memphis, TN. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Memphis office.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing

Nice to have

• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Memphis, TN is $82,000 – $104,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
