Associate Software Engineer

The employer is a networking company that designs connectivity products for enterprises and carriers.

As an Associate Software Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $108,000 – $137,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
