As an Energy Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the energy engineering team works. This position is based in Hampton, VA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Hampton location.
What you’ll do
- Design solar PV and battery storage systems
- Conduct energy audits of commercial and industrial facilities
- Write reports and present results to clients
- Run measurement and verification of completed projects
- Model energy-saving measures and calculate payback
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of building systems and energy efficiency
- Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills
- Client-facing communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with incentive programs
- CEM or PE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Hampton, VA is $85,000 – $109,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
