The employer is a civil engineering and land surveying firm supporting residential and commercial development.
Our Wichita office is growing, and we need a Senior Civil Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative civil engineering group and report to the civil engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Wichita location.
What you’ll do
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong technical writing skills
- Working knowledge of local and state design standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Wichita, KS is $99,000 – $126,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
