The employer is looking for a Senior HVAC Design Engineer in Portland, OR. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Portland office.
What you’ll do
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
- Experience with load calculation software
- Experience producing construction documents
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Portland, OR is $115,000 – $146,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
