As a Materials Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the materials engineering team works. This position is based in Arlington, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Arlington location.
What you’ll do
- Write material specifications and test reports
- Perform failure analysis on returned and field components
- Run mechanical, thermal and microstructural testing
- Support suppliers with process and material issues
- Select and qualify materials for new product designs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with materials characterization methods
- Strong report writing
- Knowledge of metals, polymers or composites
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in materials science
- Experience with additive manufacturing
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Arlington, TX is $86,000 – $109,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
