Quality Engineer Intern

The employer is a process manufacturer of food ingredients and nutritional products.
Our Louisville office is growing, and we need a Quality Engineer Intern who can gain hands-on experience from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative industrial & manufacturing engineering group and report to the industrial & manufacturing engineering manager. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Louisville location.
What you’ll do
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system
- Strong documentation habits
- Working knowledge of SPC and measurement systems analysis
Nice to have
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Louisville, KY is $21 – $24 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
