We are hiring a Transportation Engineer to join our civil engineering team in Huntsville. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Huntsville location.
What you’ll do
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Present findings at public meetings
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong written communication
- Knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO standards
- Experience with traffic analysis software
Nice to have
- PE or PTOE certification
- Experience on state DOT projects
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Huntsville, AL is $86,000 – $109,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
