We are hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to join our electrical & computer engineering team in Dayton. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Dayton location.
What you’ll do
- Bring up new hardware with the electrical engineering team
- Write device drivers for sensors, communication buses and peripherals
- Debug at the board level with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and JTAG
- Develop firmware in C and C++ for microcontroller-based products
- Write unit and hardware-in-the-loop tests
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to read schematics and datasheets
- Hands-on lab debugging experience
- Experience with an RTOS or bare-metal firmware
Nice to have
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy or other wireless stacks
- Experience in a regulated industry (medical, automotive, aerospace)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dayton, OH is $112,000 – $142,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
