Staff Front-End Engineer

The employer is a data platform company that helps logistics firms track shipments in real time.

As a Staff Front-End Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Philadelphia, PA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Philadelphia location.

What you’ll do

• Champion accessibility and usability across the product
• Measure and improve page performance and Core Web Vitals
• Work with back-end engineers to define clean API contracts
• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces in React and TypeScript
• Write unit and end-to-end tests for user-facing features
• Translate designs into reusable components and maintain the shared component library
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work
• Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
• Production experience with React or a comparable framework
• Working knowledge of HTML semantics, CSS layout and browser developer tools
• A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery

Nice to have

• Familiarity with design systems and Figma
• Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Philadelphia, PA is $153,000 – $195,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
