Our Los Angeles office is growing, and we need a Process Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative chemical engineering group and report to the chemical engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.
What you’ll do
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
- Develop P&IDs, mass balances and process documentation
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of process safety practices
- Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
Nice to have
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $105,000 – $134,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
