As an Associate Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Austin, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Austin location.
What you’ll do
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Austin, TX is $69,000 – $88,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
