We are hiring a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our electrical & computer engineering team in New York. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Capture schematics and guide PCB layout in Altium
- Simulate circuits and perform worst-case analysis
- Bring up and validate prototype hardware in the lab
- Support EMC, safety and regulatory testing
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to read and interpret datasheets
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools
- Hands-on experience with lab test equipment
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with power electronics or motor drives
- Experience with UL or IEC certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $181,000 – $230,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
