The employer is a precision machining and fabrication company serving aerospace and defense customers.
We are hiring a Senior Aerospace Engineer to join our aerospace engineering team in Houston. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Houston location.
What you’ll do
- Prepare certification and compliance documentation
- Work across design, manufacturing and supplier teams
- Analyze aircraft and spacecraft structures and systems
- Run stress, thermal and dynamics analyses
- Write test plans and support qualification testing
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Experience with FEA tools such as NASTRAN or ANSYS
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance may be required
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Composite structures experience
- Experience with FAA certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Houston, TX is $84 – $103 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
