The employer is a water treatment technology company designing systems for municipal and industrial clients.
Our New York office is growing, and we need a Civil Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative civil engineering group and report to the civil engineering manager. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Strong technical writing skills
Nice to have
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $71 – $86 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
