The employer is a systems integrator designing automated production lines and robotic work cells.
As a Materials Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the materials engineering team works. This position is based in Baltimore, MD. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Baltimore location.
What you’ll do
- Select and qualify materials for new product designs
- Write material specifications and test reports
- Perform failure analysis on returned and field components
- Support suppliers with process and material issues
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Laboratory experience
- Experience with materials characterization methods
- Knowledge of metals, polymers or composites
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in materials science
- Experience with additive manufacturing
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Baltimore, MD is $61 – $74 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
