As a Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Amarillo, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Amarillo location.
What you’ll do
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Amarillo, TX is $84,000 – $107,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
