The employer is looking for a Principal Structural Engineer in Greensboro, NC. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Greensboro location.
What you’ll do
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with structural analysis software
- Clear communication with architects and contractors
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Seismic design experience
- PE or SE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Greensboro, NC is $133,000 – $169,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
