We are hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to join our civil engineering team in Des Moines. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Des Moines location.
What you’ll do
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong technical writing skills
- Working knowledge of local and state design standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Des Moines, IA is $66 – $81 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
