Software Engineer

The employer is a software company building workflow and analytics tools for operations teams.

As a Software Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Tampa office.

What you’ll do

• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Automate repetitive build, test and release steps

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Tampa, FL is $108,000 – $137,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
