As a Principal Chemical Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the chemical engineering team works. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our San Antonio location.
What you’ll do
- Size equipment and prepare process design packages
- Take part in process hazard analyses
- Design and scale up chemical processes from pilot to production
- Simulate processes in Aspen Plus
- Support capital projects through commissioning
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of separations and reaction engineering
- Experience with process simulation software
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Pilot plant experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Antonio, TX is $132,000 – $168,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
