As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Buffalo, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Buffalo location.
What you’ll do
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Buffalo, NY is $125,000 – $159,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
