The employer is looking for an Associate Data Engineer in Austin, TX. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced data engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Austin office.
What you’ll do
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
Nice to have
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
- Experience with Spark or Flink
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Austin, TX is $92,000 – $116,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
