Our Cape Coral office is growing, and we need an Associate Software Engineer who can learn quickly and contribute from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Cape Coral office.
What you’ll do
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
Nice to have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Cape Coral, FL is $82,000 – $104,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
