The employer is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer in Dallas, TX. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Dallas office.
What you’ll do
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to manage several projects at once
- Working knowledge of local and state design standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dallas, TX is $124,000 – $158,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
