The employer is looking for a Security Engineer in Lubbock, TX. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Lubbock location.
What you’ll do
- Build detections and respond to security incidents
- Run threat models and security reviews for new features and infrastructure
- Harden cloud identity and access management
- Support compliance work such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with a SIEM or log analysis platform
- Experience in application, cloud or infrastructure security
- Scripting ability in Python or a similar language
Nice to have
- Experience with container security
- Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or GIAC
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Lubbock, TX is $115,000 – $147,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
