Associate DevOps Engineer

As an Associate DevOps Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Houston, TX. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Houston office.
What you’ll do
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling
Nice to have
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD)
- Experience with service meshes
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Houston, TX is $56 – $69 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
