The employer is looking for a Senior Project Engineer in Sacramento, CA. In this role you will set technical direction alongside an experienced construction engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Sacramento location.
What you’ll do
- Review drawings and specifications for conflicts
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Attend owner and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes
- Coordinate subcontractors and track the project schedule
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Comfort working on active job sites
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to read construction drawings
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience on projects over $20M
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $88 – $108 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
