As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Chula Vista, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chula Vista location.
What you’ll do
- Lead incident response and write blameless post-incident reviews
- Improve the observability stack: metrics, logs and traces
- Run capacity planning and load testing for critical services
- Define service level objectives with product teams and track error budgets
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Deep Linux and networking fundamentals
- Experience with modern observability tooling
- Proficiency in Go, Python or a similar language
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with chaos engineering
- Experience in a regulated or high-availability environment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chula Vista, CA is $214,000 – $272,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
