As an Associate Quality Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Norfolk, VA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Norfolk office.
What you’ll do
- Develop inspection plans and control plans
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Monitor processes with statistical process control
- Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience with ISO 9001 or a similar quality management system
- Strong documentation habits
- Root-cause analysis skills (8D, 5 Whys, fishbone)
Nice to have
- Experience with AS9100, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Norfolk, VA is $67,000 – $85,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
