The employer is looking for an Associate Software Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
Nice to have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $112,000 – $143,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
