As a Controls Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the electrical & computer engineering team works. This position is based in Port St. Lucie, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Port St. Lucie location.
What you’ll do
- Develop HMI and SCADA screens
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs for automated equipment
- Integrate robots, vision systems and safety devices
- Design control panels and electrical schematics
- Commission equipment on site and train operators
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience programming Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs
- Willingness to travel to job sites
- Ability to read electrical schematics
Nice to have
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 13849)
- Experience with FANUC or ABB robots
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Port St. Lucie, FL is $81,000 – $104,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
