The employer is looking for a Chemical Engineer Intern in Tucson, AZ. In this role you will gain hands-on experience alongside an experienced chemical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Tucson location.
What you’ll do
- Support capital projects through commissioning
- Size equipment and prepare process design packages
- Take part in process hazard analyses
- Design and scale up chemical processes from pilot to production
- Simulate processes in Aspen Plus
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of separations and reaction engineering
- Understanding of process safety
Nice to have
- Pilot plant experience
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Tucson, AZ is $25 – $30 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
