As a Project Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the construction engineering team works. This position is based in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Chicago location.
What you’ll do
- Support closeout documentation
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Review drawings and specifications for conflicts
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Attend owner and subcontractor meetings and keep minutes
- Coordinate subcontractors and track the project schedule
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Comfort working on active job sites
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software
Nice to have
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience on projects over $20M
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $78,000 – $99,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
