We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in Spokane. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Spokane office.
What you’ll do
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Spokane, WA is $162,000 – $206,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
