The employer is a construction manager and general contractor with a long record of complex builds.
Our Colorado Springs office is growing, and we need a Transportation Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative civil engineering group and report to the civil engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Colorado Springs office.
What you’ll do
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Present findings at public meetings
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with traffic analysis software
- Strong written communication
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads or Civil 3D
Nice to have
- PE or PTOE certification
- Experience on state DOT projects
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Colorado Springs, CO is $94,000 – $120,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
