We are hiring an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team in Durham. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Durham office.
What you’ll do
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Durham, NC is $62,000 – $79,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
