As an Associate Data Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the data engineering team works. This position is based in Syracuse, NY. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Syracuse location.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow or Dagster
- Strong SQL and Python skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark or Flink
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Syracuse, NY is $64 – $78 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
