As an Associate Mechanical Engineer with the employer, you will learn quickly and contribute and help shape how the mechanical engineering team works. This position is based in Sugar Land, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Sugar Land office.
What you’ll do
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Sugar Land, TX is $69,000 – $87,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
