The employer is looking for a Senior HVAC Design Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
- Strong coordination skills
- Experience producing construction documents
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- LEED AP credential
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $133,000 – $169,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
