Our Syracuse office is growing, and we need a Senior Water Resources Engineer who can lead technical work from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative civil engineering group and report to the civil engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Syracuse office.
What you’ll do
- Prepare master plans and engineering reports for municipal clients
- Design water distribution, sewer and pump station improvements
- Support grant applications and regulatory submittals
- Analyze data in GIS to support capital planning
- Model hydrology and hydraulics for flood control and stormwater projects
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working GIS skills
- Strong report writing
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or SWMM
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with InfoWater or WaterGEMS
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Syracuse, NY is $123,000 – $157,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
