Our Tucson office is growing, and we need an Associate Embedded Software Engineer who can learn quickly and contribute from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative electrical & computer engineering group and report to the electrical & computer engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Tucson office.
What you’ll do
- Write device drivers for sensors, communication buses and peripherals
- Develop firmware in C and C++ for microcontroller-based products
- Bring up new hardware with the electrical engineering team
- Debug at the board level with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and JTAG
- Write unit and hardware-in-the-loop tests
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with an RTOS or bare-metal firmware
- Strong C programming skills for resource-constrained systems
- Ability to read schematics and datasheets
Nice to have
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy or other wireless stacks
- Experience in a regulated industry (medical, automotive, aerospace)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Tucson, AZ is $83,000 – $105,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
