The employer is looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer in Odessa, TX. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Odessa location.
What you’ll do
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Odessa, TX is $68,000 – $87,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
