Associate Software Engineer

We are hiring an Associate Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in St. Louis. You will learn quickly and contribute on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our St. Louis office.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in St. Louis, MO is $86,000 – $110,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
