We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team in Winston-Salem. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Winston-Salem office.
What you’ll do
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Design mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo or NX
Nice to have
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Winston-Salem, NC is $83,000 – $106,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
